Pavel Datsyuk scored in Detroit's 4-3 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues Tuesday night.
He also had a team high six shots, and was awarded the game's third star. Datsyuk has been heating up of late, with 10 points in his last eight games. Johan Franzen's return to the lineup will sure help keep that production up.

Tomas Holmstrom (knee) is back to being a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Blues.
He exited the ice early on Tuesday morning from the team's optional skate and it isn't clear if his bruised knee will keep him out of tonight's contest. If Holmstrom is able to play he is expected to play on the Wings' top line with Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg. If he cannot suit up then Johan Franzen, who is returning from a knee injury, will take over that spot.

When Johan Franzen returns on Tuesday, Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk will be split up.
Zetterberg and Datsyuk will start on the top line on Saturday with Toms Holmstrom, with Todd Bertuzzi on the second unit alongside Valterri Filppula and Daniel Cleary. Look for Filppula to be the odd man out of the top six. "Listen, we've played Homer with Pav and Z through the year and it's not like they've been on fire by any means," coach Mike Babcock said. "When we get Mule (Franzen) back, I don't foresee them playing together. I think we'll split them up and play Pav with Mule." Probable combinations will be Franzen, Datsyuk and Holmstrom; and Bertuzzi, Zetterberg and Cleary.

Datsyuk scored the only Red Wings goal in Detroit's 3-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks Wednesday night.
Datsyuk is heating up. He has eight points in his last six games.

Tomas Holmstrom (foot) will not return on Sunday.
"We're going to give him another couple days," coach Mike Babcock said. "I think he could probably play, just confidence-wise I think it's good to have a couple days under his belt." Holmstrom skated with Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg on Saturday morning. Stay tuned for updates.

Pavel Datsyuk had two assists in Detroit's 4-2 win over Nashville Friday night.
Datsyuk's pair of helpers give him six points over a three-game point streak. Henrik Zetterberg and Nicklas Lidstrom each finished with a goal and an assist. Valtteri Filppula finished with two apples.
