According to beat writer Jason Reid, it appears Ladell Betts (torn MCL, ACL) "has played his last game for the Redskins."
Betts is signed through 2013, with his salary increasing from $900,000 to $1.65M next season. With both knee ligaments torn, the 30-year-old is a poor bet to return to pre-injury form by the start of next season -- if at all. The Redskins have plenty of needs this offseason, and running back will have to be near the top of the list. |
