 Marcus Stroud-DL- BillsFeb. 4 - 4:32 pm et
Marcus Stroud believes he can play two-gap nose tackle in the Bills' new 3-4 defense.
"As long as I can be healthy, I feel like I can do well in either system," said Stroud. "If that's the case and I have to move to nosetackle, then I'll do it." The aging Stroud is hardly the prototype nose at 6'6/310, so the Bills may take a close look at Tennessee's Dan Williams and Alabama's Terrence Cody in the draft.

 Marcus Stroud-DL - Bills Nov. 28 - 9:57 am et

Bills DT Marcus Stroud (knee) will likely play on Sunday.
"He looked good. So we feel very good about that," said Bills coach Perry Fewell. Stroud missed last week's game against the Jags and practiced on a limited basis on Friday. The Bills could use him against a rejuvenated Ricky Williams and the Dolphins on Sunday.

Bills DT Marcus Stroud (knee) has been ruled out for Week 11.
As if Maurice Jones-Drew's matchup against the No. 32 run defense could get any better. Stroud, Buffalo's nose tackle, leads Bills defensive linemen in tackles with 40, and they may also be minus "three technique" Kyle Williams again due to a knee sprain. Williams is questionable on the injury report.

Bills DT Marcus Stroud (hamstring) returned to practice on Tuesday.
Originally slated to miss 5-7 days, he returned in just two. The Bills gave the wide-bodied nose tackle a $28M deal this spring and will again rely on him to key their run defense. They'll hope he doesn't wear down late like last year.

Bills coach Dick Jauron revealed Sunday that NT Marcus Stroud will be out 5-7 days after straining his hamstring on the first day of training camp.
Stroud called the injury a "minor" tweak, but the Bills aren't going to push him. They have continuity on defense and Stroud mastered the scheme in his first season with Buffalo, so the lost practice time is hardly a concern.

 Marcus Stroud-DL - Bills Apr. 7 - 4:26 pm et

Bills agreed to terms with DT Marcus Stroud on a two-year extension that includes $20.5 million in "new money."
Stroud is essentially getting a new four-year, $28 million contract. $12 million is guaranteed and he'll get $16M in the first two seasons. Stroud turns 31 in June, battled injuries in each of the 2006-2007 seasons, and isn't nearly the pass rusher he once was. It's pretty surprising that the Bills are extending his deal when he was already signed through 2010.
