Ray Emery had an MRI on his sore left hip on Monday.
There is a report that Emery has a torn labrum and may require surgery, but nothing has been confirmed. Emery has already gone under the knife once this season to repair an abdominal injury. GM Paul Holmgren said that the Flyers are still waiting on the results of the MRI, but he said Emery might be fine in the short term. "Is it something where down the road we need to address this surgically? We need to get a feel of where he's at right now," Holmgren said. "We all seem to think he's going to be fine for the short term, anyway. We'll have a better idea about the long term after we get the results." Holmgren suggested that Emery could be ready to play between the pipes on Wednesday. We'll keep you posted. |
