Dave van Dyck of the Chicago Tribune reports that the White Sox have offered Omar Vizquel a one-year contract worth $1 million.
Vizquel, 42, will probably be inclined to take it. He hit just .266//316/.345 in 177 at-bats during the 2009 season, but could easily play shortstop, second base or third base, as he did with the Rangers. He would be a fine tutor for Alexei Ramirez and Gordon Beckham. Source: Chicago Tribune
