Kings forward Omri Casspi started again in Tuesday's OT win against the Knicks in New York. He had 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and zero turnovers.
Fittingly, it was Jewish Heritage Night at MSG. Casspi logged a team-high 45 minutes and his competitive spirit appears to have won over the Kings' coaching staff. As long as he's getting this much burn he'll be a reliable option -- scoop him up if he's still floating on your waiver wire.

Omri Casspi has earned praise for his shooting and intensity, but still needs to work on his defense and ball-handling.
Casspi doesn't shy away from voicing his emotions, which isn't always a good thing since he occasionally gets frustrated (or frustrates his coach and teammates). Nevertheless, Sacramento is pleased with his development and has him pencilled in as their future starting SF.

Omri Casspi started against the Raptors on Sunday, but played just 19 minutes and scored only three points on 1-of-5 shooting with seven rebounds and one assist.
He took a nasty elbow from Andrea Bargnani during the second quarter, which may have contributed a bit to Andres Nocioni's playing time (28 minutes, 11 points), but Noce's defense on Hedo Turkoglu was also a factor. Casspi is certainly a player to watch, but whether he should be owned is debatable.

Omri Casspi started again for Jason Thompson on Friday and had 17 points, eight rebounds and two 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting.
Thompson is due back on Sunday, but Casspi is still worth keeping a close eye on. Donte' Greeene had a career-high 31 tonight, and looks like a better pickup than Casspi as of Friday night.

Omri Casspi (stomach virus) will play against the Suns on Friday night.
Jason Thompson (personal reasons) is out again tonight, meaning Casspi will likely start and retain some value in a game that figures to be very high scoring. But once the Kings have all their starters back, Casspi is a drop candidate in most leagues. He's averaging just 9.5 points and 0.3 treys since Kevin Martin returned from the wrist injury.

Omri Casspi missed practice Thursday and his status for Friday against the Suns is unknown due to a stomach virus.
Casspi has held only borderline value since the return of both Tyreke Evans and Kevin Martin in January. He's still arguably worth owning in deep leagues, so check back before game time to see if he's a go.
