Eli Manning expects to undergo precautionary testing and an MRI to make sure his injured right heel/foot is healing properly.
Eli should cruise through the tests. He said the foot is feeling much better, and he has been able to do workouts on it. Considering he never missed a game with the injury, this isn't a major concern heading into the 2010 season.

 Eli Manning-QB - Giants Jan. 29 - 2:42 pm et

Giants QBs coach Chris Palmer is leaving the NFL to accept the head coaching job of the UFL's New York Sentinels.
Palmer did an impressive job converting Eli Manning from an inaccurate, turnover-prone passer into a Super Bowl MVP. The former Browns head coach was closer to David Carr over the past couple of years, however, and his exit won't have a drastic impact on Manning in 2010.

Eli Manning says he won't need surgery on his foot during the offseason.
Eli didn't miss a game even though he was bothered by plantar fascia and stress reaction problems throughout the season. The Giants obviously weren't overly concerned about Eli's foot, leaving him in way too long during a Week 17 blowout loss. Some rest should serve Eli well, but he won't be a recommended QB1 in fantasy drafts next season either.

Eli Manning completed 17-of-23 passes for 141 yards and one interception in Week 17 against the Vikings.
Manning stayed in the blowout loss long enough to top 4,000 yards on the season. He also sets career-highs in completion percentage, yards per throw, touchdowns and quarterback rating, although with the Giants' late-season fade few people will notice. He was a top-10 quarterback in fantasy and real life.

Eli Manning (foot) was limited in Giants practice Wednesday.
Manning is in no danger of sitting out Week 17 against Minnesota.

Eli Manning will play in the Giants' season finale Sunday.
Eli has been dealing with a foot injury all year, but he's not going to take the game off even though it's meaningless. It sounds like the Giants are going to play the game to win. They have a tough matchup against a Vikings team that will be very motivated.
