Matt Leinart's inaccuracy has "eroded confidence among the receiving corps," according to Cardinals beat writer Kent Somers.
Not only does Leinart diminish their playmaking ability, his high throws make them targets for big hits. Per Somers, the offense "will no doubt change" if Leinart takes over, with the running game taking center stage. With Beanie Wells emerging as an explosive runner, the Cardinals' pass-heavy offense could be on its last legs.

Larry Fitzgerald has pulled out of the Pro Bowl and will be replaced by Steve Smith of the Giants.
Although he didn't miss any games, Fitz dealt with knee and elbow issues toward the end of the year. He'll be a full go for training camp. Smith, meanwhile, set a team record with a jaw-dropping 107 receptions and his first trip to the Pro Bowl is well deserved. He's the first Giants Pro Bowl receiver since Homer Jones in 1968.

Larry Fitzgerald caught six passes for 77 yards against the Saints in the Divisional Round of the playoffs Saturday.
Fitz didn't catch his first pass until late in the second quarter, so he wasn't a factor until the Saints had already established a big lead. He had two jumpballs knocked out of his hands in traffic, including one in the end zone. Though Fitz couldn't recapture last year's playoff magic, he'll be right there with Andre Johnson in 2010 fantasy drafts.

Larry Fitzgerald caught six passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns in the Cardinals' Wild Card round defeat of Green Bay.
He now has a ridiculous nine TDs in five career playoff games. Fitz easily walked in for his first score, a 33-yarder, after Charles Woodson slipped in his backpedal. His second, a one-handed catch from 11 yards out, came against inept Packers fill-in SS Matt Giordano after Fitzgerald literally bulldozed Woodson (a should-be penalty) on his way to the end zone. The Cards drew a phantom roughing the passer call at the end of the play.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said that Larry Fitzgerald insisted on playing the whole game in Week 17 to reach statistical milestones.
"Larry wanted the touchdown and he wanted 100 receptions," Whisenhunt said Monday. "That was something that was important to Larry." Whiz tried to get Fitz to come out of the meaningless game but obviously wasn't very stern. Both men are lucky the Pro Bowler came out of the game healthy.

Larry Fitzgerald caught three passes for 17 yards and a touchdown against the Packers in Week 17.
Fitzgerald wouldn't come out of the game even in a blowout, but you won't hear anything about it in the media because he isn't Brett Favre. Fitz notched a career-high 13th touchdown late in the game with Brian St. Pierre under center. He finished as the No. 4 fantasy receiver, recording 97 catches for 1,092 yards. He'll try to match last year's magical playoff run, starting with a rematch against the Packers.
