The Broncos made sweeping changes to their offensive coaching staff Saturday, moving Clancy Barone to offensive line coach with Bob Wylie as his assistant.
Barone and Wylie will be charged with moving the running game completely away from the zone-blocking scheme used under Mike Shanahan. Josh McDaniels' brother, Ben, was promoted to QBs coach, Eric Studesville replaces Bobby Turner as RBs coach, and former Steelers special teams coach Bob Ligashesky was brought in as tight ends coach.

Broncos hired Bob Wylie to be the team's assistant offensive line coach.
Wylie coached in the CFL in the previous three seasons with Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, and before that he coached in the NFL with Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Chicago where he coached up seven former Pro Bowl offensive linemen.

The Broncos have reportedly denied the Redskins permission to interview running backs coach Bobby Turner.
Turner has a long history with new 'Skins coach Mike Shanahan, with the two of them going back to Shanny's first season in Denver. Shanahan is also believed to be interested in reuniting with Broncos' offensive line coach Rick Dennison, who is emerging as an offensive coordinator candidate for the Texans.

Mike Shanahan, due $7 million in 2009 after getting fired earlier this offseason, will reportedly only collect the money if he refrains from criticism of the Broncos.
Due to a clause in his contract, Shanahan is prevented "from saying practically anything" about his former team. Don't expect any biting commentary from Shanny on Josh McDaniels, Brandon Marshall, Jay Cutler or owner Pat Bowlen.

Ex-Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said Friday that he plans to coach again in the NFL, possibly as soon as 2010.
"I plan on getting back," said Shanahan. "I'll see if there are any opportunities out there at the end of the year that will work out for the club and myself." The Redskins and Cowboys among others are expected to show serious interest should Shanny make himself available next offseason.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels has recovered from the migraine headaches that forced him to miss Mark Sanchez's private workout Monday.
McDaniels has to be excited for this weekend. Trade discussions are rampant and there's every reason to believe he'll be right in the thick of them.
