Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (ankle) and ILB Gerald Hayes (ankle) are both inactive for Saturday's game against the Saints, as expected.
Steve Breaston will start for Boldin, with Early Doucet seeing time in three-receiver sets. Monty Beisel will start for Hayes, which merits an upgrade for the Saints' ground game. Other Cardinals inactives: QB Brian St. Pierre, FB Nehemiah Broughton, S Rashad Johnson, OG Herman Johnson, DE Jeremy Clark, and TE Steven Spach.

Anquan Boldin (questionable, ankle) returned to Cardinals practice on a limited basis Friday.
Cards ILB Gerald Hayes (questionable, ankle) also returned in a limited manner, although most signs point to both players sitting out Saturday's tilt with the Saints. If Boldin is surprisingly active, he is not expected to play more than 30 snaps. Look for lots of Early Doucet and Steve Breaston again.

In addition to Anquan Boldin (ankle, knee), the Cardinals are also expected to be without ILB Gerald Hayes (ankle) on Saturday.
Hayes' two-game absence in November saw a significant dropoff in the Cardinals' run defense. He'll be replaced by 31-year-old journeyman Monty Beisel, who was signed shortly after Hayes returned in late November. Upgrade the matchups for Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated that Anquan Boldin's (ankle, knee) snaps would be limited if he does manage to play Saturday.
"With as much three- and four-wide receiver sets as we do, he can certainly contribute and be part of packages," said Whisenhunt. Along with ILB Gerald Hayes (ankle), Boldin is officially a game-time decision. Monty Beisel would fill in if Hayes can't go, which would merit an upgrade for Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush.

ILB Gerald Hayes (ankle) also missed the final practice of the week, with the Cards set to play Saturday. Boldin is sure to give it a go in pre-game warmups, but he's likely to miss a second straight week. There's no reason to run him out there when he can't separate if Steve Breaston and Early Doucet can. Boldin is officially a game-time decision.

ILB Gerald Hayes (ankle) was also out, bringing their statuses into question for the Divisional Round. Coach Ken Whisenhunt is "hopeful" the starters will practice Thursday, but they may come down to game-time decisions.
