 Scott Wells-C- PackersJan. 26 - 10:03 pm et
Coming off his best season in Green Bay, Scott Wells is expected to remain the Packers' starting center in 2010.
Wells lost the starting job to Jason Spitz last August, but he excelled as a run blocker after being forced back into the lineup in Week 3. Wells and RG Josh Sitton are under contract for 2010 while Spitz and LG Daryn Colledge are restricted free agents.

Packers C Scott Wells (concussion) is expected to start on Sunday.
Wells missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but returned Friday and "did well" on the field. While his presence won't hurt Ryan Grant's matchup, the 49ers' defense will. They're third against the run and allow just 3.3 YPC.

Packers C Scott Wells is in danger of missing this week's game against the 49ers with a concussion.
Wells has been slightly above average as a starting center this season. His absence would hurt against 49ers NT Aubrayo Franklin, who is playing at a Pro Bowl level. The Niners are allowing just 3.3 YPC to opposing runners, so it's a poor matchup for Ryan Grant.

 Jason Spitz-C - Packers Nov. 7 - 7:27 pm et

Packers placed C Jason Spitz (back) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Spitz was expected to play a big role this year after he beat out incumbent center Scott Wells, who will now continue to start. Spitz hasn't practiced since Oct. 15. He's a free agent after this season.

 Duke Preston-C - Cowboys Aug. 25 - 2:20 pm et

Packers informed C Duke Preston of his release.
Green Bay doesn't eat any money in the move because Preston wasn't given a signing bonus. This means incumbent Scott Wells is likely to stay on the roster despite losing his starting job to the more imposing Jason Spitz.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel suggests that C Scott Wells could go on the trade block after he lost his starting job to Jason Spitz.
The paper calls Seattle a possible destination, and it is an ideal fit. Wells is versed in the zone-blocking scheme and the 'Hawks will be without C Chris Spencer indefinitely. Wells could probably net the Pack a late-round pick.
