Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc surgery) has shed his walking boot, but he's still not cleared to run.
It's now been 11 weeks since his surgery. "I'm out here walking around and everything feels pretty good," said Brown. "Everything is going real well." Due to the lack of a CBA, Brown's $5M option will kick in this offseason. He's a longshot to take the field before training camp.

Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc surgery) is no longer using crutches but is still walking with a noticeable limp.
Brown says he expects to be 100 percent for training camp. Even if that's true, he will be a risky pick in 2010 drafts. He's had two devastating injuries in the last three seasons and Ricky Williams is still playing at a high level.

Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc surgery) confirmed Monday that he will not opt out of his contract this offseason.
Brown is locked in through 2010 with a $5 million salary, barring an unexpected CBA deal. He says getting a contract extension would be "ideal," but the Fins won't go that far with Brown coming off such a serious injury.

Ricky Williams reiterated that his current plan is to retire when his contract runs out after the 2010 season.
Ricky hedged a bit this time around, saying it's the plan for now but "who knows what's going to happen in the future." He's challenging Walter Payton for the best age-32 season of all time, and he obviously knows how to keep himself in prime football shape. If he's still playing well next year, the Dolphins could try to change his mind with another one-year contract.

Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc surgery, injured reserve) says there's "no question" he'll be ready for 2010, and could possibly participate in OTAs.
Brown was "getting around much better," though on crutches at a team charity event Tuesday. "Physically, everything is good," he said. Brown will still likely be limited in all offseason workouts. With no new CBA agreement on the horizon, Brown's $5 million option for 2010 is likely to kick in. He'll be back with the Dolphins no matter what next season.

Ronnie Brown has decided to undergo surgery to repair the Lisfranc fracture in his right foot.
Brown had already been leaning toward electing for the surgery, and his visit with foot specialist Dr. Bob Anderson confirmed that it was the right decision. Brown will undergo surgery Friday and will likely miss all of OTAs next season. He expects to be recovered "well before" the start of the 2010 season, but he's likely to be eased in during training camp.
