Frank Gore has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing Steven Jackson (back).
S-Jax figures to be fine by the spring, as no surgery for his herniated disc was ever announced. Gore missed two games in '09, but finished with career-high 13 TDs and averaged 4.9 YPC. He's well deserving of the Pro Bowl berth.

The 49ers are giving up a home game next season to play the Broncos on Sunday, Oct. 31, at London's Wembley Stadium.
Every team in the NFL is required to give up a home game over a period of time to host an international contest. This game will fill the Niners' requirement. The organization has played in two exhibition games (1988, 1992) at Wembley in the past.

49ers coach Mike Singletary said in his season-ending press conference that he wants a more balanced, potentially run-first offense in 2010.
The 49ers flirted with an all-out spread attack after installing Alex Smith at QB, but Singletary wants the offense more like it was in the final four games. Frank Gore averaged 23 carries a game in the last month, and had three 100+ yard rushing efforts. Assuming he stays healthy, Gore should be able to build significantly on his 229 carries.

Frank Gore rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in the 49ers' Week 17 win over the Rams.
Both of Gore's scores came late in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach for the lowly Rams. He ends the season with 1,120 rush yards and 10 TDs on 229 carries in 14 games. Gore also caught 52 passes for 406 yards and three scores. It was a solid season for him, but the Niners shied away from Gore for a stretch in the middle of the year, which resulted in a struggling offense. Look for OC Jimmy Raye to re-establish Gore as the feature player in 2010.

Frank Gore rushed 28 times for 71 yards and a touchdown and added four receptions for 81 yards to lead the 49ers over the Lions, 20-6.
Gore is finally finishing strong after ankle woes slowed him down the stretch the past two seasons. Though he managed just 2.5 yards per carry, a 48-yard reception and ensuing touchdown plunge turned his afternoon around. The first player in franchise history to rush for 1,000 yards in four straight seasons, Gore is a Top-5 option against the Rams next week.

Frank Gore rushed 16 times for 107 yards and added three catches for 19 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
Gore became the first running back to go for over 100 rushing yards against the Eagles in 24 games. To the 49ers' credit, they stuck with the run despite trailing 20-3 at the half and they got back in the game. Gore will be a valuable commodity in fantasy leagues thanks to a matchup with the Lions next week.
