Paul Casey is 7-under-par 70-69=139 through two rounds of the SBS Championship, eight strokes back of leader, Lucas Glover.
The SBS is Casey's first PGA Tour start since he withdrew during the WGC-Bridgestone in August, eventually succumbing to the now-infamous torn interior oblique muscle. After his second round at Kapalua, he announced that he's almost all the way back. "I feel great," he said. "I feel 95 percent fit. I don't really feel anything in the ribs right now, the intercostal and the obliques. The reason it's not 100 percent is because my range of motion isn't where I want it to be ... It's almost like scar tissue that I've got to break loose and get that range of motion back. Once I do that, and hopefully that will be just a matter of time through playing golf another month or so, we'll be back to 100 percent."

Paul Casey is listed in the published field of next week's SBS Championship.
After aggravating his rib injury in China in early November, Casey returned to action at the Chevron World Challenge a month ago to rounds of 75, 69, 74 and 64 to finish T-11. He hasn't played since and is not a recommended fantasy start until he proves that the injury is no longer a worry. Meanwhile, three golfers that were eligible for the SBS will not compete - Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Henrik Stenson. One of Mickelson's wins came at the unofficial WGC-HSBC Champions, which offered an exemption for its winner into the SBS for the first time.

Paul Casey signed for a 3-over-par 75 after his opening round of the Chevron World Challenge.
If this 16-man, no-cut tournament didn't award official world ranking points for the first time, it's a great bet that Casey would have instead rested his healing rib muscle this week. Today's score on a fair Sherwood CC is about what you'd expect from the Brit. Since his injury isn't one to quickly heal, rate accordingly entering your 2010 fantasy draft.

Paul Casey remains in the field of this week's Chevron World Challenge.
Casey withdrew from the WGC-HSBC Champions nearly a month ago after aggravating his torn interior oblique muscle, and has not played since. If you're in offseason observation mode, then this is a welcome freebie in advance of the 2010 PGA Tour season. Casey is eligible for the SBS Championship on January 7-10.

Paul Casey has withdrawn from the Dubai World Championship, which will held November 19-22.
Casey was forced to withdraw from last week's WGC-HSBC Champions due to fears that he had injured the interior oblique muscle, which had caused him to miss most of the second half of the season. He went back to the Untied States to be evaluated and it was found that he had irritated the area, but hadn't torn the muscle. However, according to Casey on his Twitter page, his doctor has ordered him not to play in Dubai.
