Kelly Bires will make his debut with JR Motorsports in the No. 5 Ragu Chevrolet this weekend in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Bires has two starts at the 1.5-mile speedway with finishes of 20th and ninth, respectively. He has led one lap and earned an average finish of 14.5 in those events. Bires is the eighth and final driver to climb into the driver’s seat of the No. 5 Chevrolet this year. -JR Motorsports

This weekend the NASCAR Nationwide Series will roll into Memphis for the Kroger On Track for the Cure 250 where Kelly Bires will make his final start of the season for Kevin Harvick Inc. in the No. 33 Copart Chevrolet.
In two previous starts this season for KHI, Bires earned one top-five (4th at Nashville) and two top-10 (Nashville and 10th at Kentucky) finishes. His fourth-place finish at Nashville marked his career-best finish in NASCAR’s top three series of competition. Kelly Bires has signed to drive a full-time NASCAR Nationwide Series entry for JR Motorsports in 2010-11, general manager Kelley Earnhardt announced today.
In 66 career Nationwide Series starts, Bires has earned three top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. He tallied two of his top-fives this season with a career-best finish of fourth at Nashville Superspeedway on April 11 for Kevin Harvick Inc. and fifth at Iowa Speedway on Aug. 1 for Braun Racing. - JR Motorsports

Kelly Bires will make his first appearance behind the wheel of the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway
He began driving in the Nationwide Series in 2007 and has 65 career starts with three top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. Bires made his first ever career start in the NASCAR ranks at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) in 2006. He has two Truck Series starts at Atlanta with a top-10 finish (10th) in 2007 and one Nationwide Series start resulting in a 12th place finish last year - CJM Racing

Kelly Bires makes the most improvement in the Nationwide Series after this weekend’s race.
Bires’ 5th place finish in the U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway was 34 places better than his last NNS finish. This earned the No. 10 Fraternal Order of Eagles Toyota driver the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. Bires, who made 11 of the 21 races so far this season, moved up six spots to 40th in the 2009 Nationwide Series point standings after this event.

Braun Racing announced that the No. 10 Toyota, with driver Kelly Bires, will carry The Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center as sponsor for the premier Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway.
Bires has 61 career NNS starts with two top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. In 2008, in his first full season of competition, he had one top-five and six top-10 finishes before ending his season 13th in the point standings. Bires has competed in a limited number of events in 2009 and in eight starts has collected one top-five and two top-10 finishes.
