Packers C Scott Wells will undergo offseason surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
Three-fifths of the Packers offensive line will have surgery in the next two weeks, with Chad Clifton (knee, arthroscopic) and Mark Tauscher (torn ACL) also going under the knife. Wells will have to compete with Jason Spitz for the starting center job next season. Spitz was the team's starting right guard in 2008, but promising Josh Sitton is ticked for that role in 2009.
