Royals signed RHP Jorge Campillo to a minor league contract.
Campillo, 31, posted a 1-0 record and 4.15 ERA in five games with the Braves this season before hitting the long-term disabled list with shoulder tendinitis. In 2008, he went 8-7 with a 3.91 ERA in 39 appearances (25 starts). It's not a bad signing for Kansas City, especially at such a low cost.

Braves placed RHP Jorge Campillo on the disabled with a rotator cuff tendinitis.
Campillo has struggled with shoulder problems since pitching for Mexico in the WBC this spring. Kris Medlen is being moved to the bullpen to take his place.

Prospect Tommy Hanson will be promoted from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Sunday's game against the Brewers.
With a 1.50 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings, Hanson is the best pitching prospect in the minors and is worth a look in all fantasy leagues. NL-only leaguers should run, not walk, to the waiver wire to see if he's still available. The move will go a long way towards bolstering the Braves pitching staff, with Kris Medlen moving to the bullpen to replace Jorge Campillo.

Braves activated RHP Jorge Campillo from the 15-day disabled list.
Campillo, who came down with right shoulder tendinitis in mid-April, posted a 3.60 ERA in two rehab appearances covering five innings. Though he's an obvious upgrade on Buddy Carlyle, he'll have no fantasy value as a long reliever.

Campillo was placed on the 15-day DL after allowing two hits and one run in the ninth inning of Thursday's 6-2 loss to Florida. Campillo is 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA in four games.

Tom Glavine left his rehab start for Double-A Mississippi on Sunday after just two innings because of shoulder discomfort.
The plan was for Glavine to start for the Braves on Saturday, but it's hard to imagine that happening now. We're guessing that the team will turn back to Jorge Campillo as its fifth starter. Tommy Hanson will probably have to wait a while longer.
