Dodgers signed OF Matt Kemp to a two-year, $10.95 million contract.
He is arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter, so the Dodgers will retain team control for one season after the new contract expires. Kemp is set to take home $4 million this season and $6.95 million in 2011, a pretty nice deal for a franchise in flux. The 25-year-old outfielder batted .297/.352/.490 with 26 home runs, 101 RBI, 97 runs scored and 34 stolen bases in '09 and should be among the first outfielders taken in fantasy drafts this season. |
