Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland threw his support behind Ted Ginn, saying the rising fourth-year receiver is a "player I like very much."
"I think if you ask the head coach the same question he’ll say the same thing, and this why: Ted busts his tail," Ireland said. "Did he drop some balls and not come through for us a couple of times? Sure." Ginn will have to improve dramatically if he expects to be major part of the passing game in 2010.

 Ted Ginn Jr.-WR - Dolphins Jan. 3 - 5:02 pm et

Ted Ginn caught three passes for 20 yards in Sunday's season-ending loss to the Steelers.
This was by far the most difficult season of Ginn's three-year career. He was skewered around the country for some drops on Monday Night Football and lost his starting job. The No. 9 overall pick in the 2007 draft proved that he isn't an above-average NFL receiver. Ginn is under contract through 2012, but the Dolphins could choose to move on this offseason. He's not on the fantasy radar.

Ted Ginn led the Dolphins with five receptions for 82 yards against the Texans in Week 16.
The Dolphins receivers will drive a fantasy owner crazy. They've had five different players lead the team in receiving over the past five weeks. Ginn started the game, was targeted eight times, and had a beautiful 62-yard touchdown catch nullified by a tripping penalty on Lousaka Polite. While the receptions and yardage were his most since Week 2, Ginn is not a recommended fantasy option against the Steelers next week.

Ted Ginn Jr. caught two passes for 38 yards in Week 15.
Ginn has lost his starting gig to rookie Brian Hartline and is only a part time player at this point. It's doubtful he'll carry any fantasy value over the regular season's final few weeks.
 Ted Ginn Jr.-WR - Dolphins Dec. 13 - 4:25 pm et

Ted Ginn Jr. caught just one pass for 12 yards and ran once for 16 yards in Miami's Week 14 win.
Ginn was also pulled from the starting lineup in favor of rookie Brian Hartline. Don't expect Ginn to make any fantasy impact in the final three games.

According to beat writer Armando Salguero, Ted Ginn is going to be a part-time player "at best" next season.
"At worst, he might not be on the team," continued Salguero. The former No. 9 overall pick had a pair of clutch first-down catches Sunday, but he's leading the NFL in drop percentage. The Dolphins will likely attempt to import a No. 1 receiver while Davone Bess and Brian Hartline are emerging as more reliable options than situational deep-threat Ginn.
