Bills placed QB Trent Edwards (ankle) on season-ending injured reserve.
Edwards' ill-fated four-play stint in Sunday's game was a microcosm of his season behind the league's worst offensive line. A shell-shocked Edwards was turned into a checkdown master, ignoring his receivers outside the hash marks. Though Edwards is signed through 2010, it's clear that the Bills no longer have confidence in the injury-prone quarterback. If he returns next season, it will be in a backup role. Source: Scout.com
