Snelling was the offensive star, rumbling through the Bucs defense and getting stronger as the game went on. Snelling will take a backseat to Michael Turner next season, though he may have earned the third-down role with Jerious Norwood due to hit free agency.

 Michael Turner-RB - Falcons Dec. 28 - 3:31 pm et

Falcons coach Mike Smith provided no update on the status of Michael Turner (high ankle sprain) at his Monday news conference.
Atlanta employed a near-even split with Turner inactive in Week 16, giving starter Jerious Norwood 14 touches compared to Jason Snelling's 16. Snelling came off the bench and racked up more yards. In the rare fantasy leagues that extend into Week 17, Snelling remains the better bet at Tampa Bay should Turner miss another game. We wouldn't bet on seeing him.

 Jason Snelling-RB - Falcons Dec. 27 - 4:42 pm et

Jason Snelling rushed 15 times for 68 yards and added one reception for six yards against the Bills in Week 16.
More was expected against the league's worst run defense, but a plodding Snelling was unable to break off a big run. He split touches almost evenly with Jerious Norwood, which should remain the case next week at Tampa Bay if Michael Turner (ankle) remains out.
 Michael Turner-RB - Falcons Dec. 24 - 2:26 pm et

Michael Turner (ankle) was held out of practice again Thursday.
While Matt Ryan looks like a good bet for a second straight start, Turner is an extreme long shot to suit up against the Bills this week. Jason Snelling will continue to receive the bulk of the backfield touches.

 Jason Snelling-RB - Falcons Dec. 20 - 4:08 pm et

Jason Snelling rushed 16 times for 59 yards and caught three passes for five yards in Sunday's win over the Jets.
Michael Turner aggravated his ankle injury just two plays into the game and didn't return. Snelling was the primary back after that, although he failed on two goal-line chances. As long as Turner is out, Snelling is a strong bet for 15-18 touches even though he's nothing special as an NFL runner.
 Jason Snelling-RB - Falcons Dec. 13 - 4:26 pm et

Jason Snelling rushed 10 times for 37 yards with a touchdown and added four catches for 65 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
Snelling and Jerious Norwood were both on the field for the first play of the game, but Snelling got the carry. In fact, he touched the ball on the Falcons' first four plays of the game. Snelling remained the goal-line back despite last week's failures in that area and showed good hands in the passing game. The sledding will be much tougher against the Jets next week.
