Drew Gooden got hot with Erick Dampier out on Monday, coming off the bench for 24 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block and 41 minutes. He made 8-of-14 FGs and 8-of-8 FTs.
It took less than two minutes for the Mavs to sub Gooden for fill-in starter Eduardo Najera, and they never looked back. The main thing to remember in fantasy leagues -- in 12 games without Dampier this year, Gooden has averaged 11.7 points and 10.8 rebounds.

Mavericks center Erick Dampier (left knee) will not play against the Warriors on Monday.
Any rest Dallas can give Dampier is a good thing, and the plodding veteran wasn't likely to play much vs. the Warriors anyway. It sounds like he'll be ready to go for Tuesday's game against Denver, however, as he and teammate Drew Gooden continue to share minutes at center.

Coach Rick Carlisle is leaning towards holding Erick Dampier out of Monday's game against the Warriors, since he doesn't want him to aggravate his left knee effusion in back-to-back games.
Dampier is never a good fit for a game with the up-and-down the court Warriors, so while there's a bit of ambiguity in this report, owners should probably prepare for him to be out. Drew Gooden, a physical player who should give the Warriors fits, could be worth a look in the Mavs' two-game week.

Mavericks center Erick Dampier (left knee) didn't practice Sunday and is a game-time decision on Monday.
Dampier spent practice on an exercise bike, then had his knee heavily wrapped with ice. He isn't moving comfortably these days and his fantasy value has nosedived. As usual, if he doesn't play we expect Drew Gooden to post big numbers as a fill-in starter.

Erick Dampier returned from a knee injury and had five points, 10 rebounds and zero blocks in Friday's loss.
He was basically outplayed by Ryan Hollins, which should tell you everything you need to know. He's still not at 100 percent, but is expected to be after the All-Star break.
 Eduardo Najera-F - Mavericks Feb. 3 - 8:48 pm et  

Eduardo Najera will start in place of injured Erick Dampier, who is out with a knee injury on Wednesday.
Najera isn't likely to have value regardless of how many games he starts, so just make note of the change.
