Browns Brandon McDonald has regained his starting cornerback job, with Mike Adams moving to safety.
McDonald will be asked to cover Hines Ward Thursday night. Normally it would be an attractive matchup for Ward, but the hamstring injury and the swirling wind are conspiring against him.

Brandon McDonald is expected to get his starting corner job back thanks to the season-threatening concussion suffered by Brodney Pool.
Mike Adams, who took McDonald's job a couple weeks ago, is expected to fill in for Pool. The reward for McDonald is a chance to match up with one of the league's premier passing attacks in the Chargers.

Browns RCB Brandon McDonald was benched again Sunday in favor of Mike Adams.
McDonald played only situationally against the Lions. Perhaps the Browns staff is trying to send a message to McDonald, but allowing five touchdowns and 400+ yards to Matthew Stafford isn't the best way to make a point.

Browns RCB Brandon McDonald regained his starting role after one drive Sunday.
The Bengals immediately attacked replacement Mike Adams, racing down the field for a touchdown. Once McDonald returned, the Bengals passing offense went down the drain. Don't expect McDonald to be benched again any time soon.

Browns RCB Brandon McDonald has reportedly been benched in favor of usual nickel back Mike Adams.
McDonald was briefly benched last year, but rebounded to finish strong. We like the matchup boost for Chad Ochocinco and Carson Palmer. Adams has been a backup safety his entire career, never starting a game at corner.

Free agent pickup Rod Hood is getting a shot to unseat Browns incumbent right cornerback Brandon McDonald.
Ideally, McDonald will keep the job because he's cheaper, signed longer, and offers more upside. Hood's best position has also always been nickel back.
