Camilo Villegas has yet to tee it up on the PGA Tour in 2010.
And he didn't enter next week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am either. The Colombian played in the first two events on the European Tour's Desert Swing, posting finishes of T19 (Abu Dhabi) and T9 (Qatar). He won't make his 2010 PGA Tour debut until the WGC-Match Play in two weeks. It's the latest he's ever started his U.S. schedule. Notables with PGA Tour cards (not on medical extensions) that have yet to appear this year and will not play Pebble Beach include Tiger Woods (personal reasons), Ian Poulter (started '08 and '09 at the Match Play), Trevor Immelman (recovery from wrist surgery), Arron Oberholser, Henrik Stenson, Jeev Milkha Singh and Rory McIlroy.

Camilo Villegas posted a 1-under-par 34-36=70 in the opening round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Villegas hit just 12 GIR and still required 28 putts to get around TPC Boston today. The news here is that he overcame was was widely reported to be a minor wrist injury suffered while lifting weights. It's the reason he withdrew during his second round of The Barclays. The Colombian is currently 50th in FedExCup points.

Camilo Villegas withdrew during his second round of The Barclays, citing an injury to his left wrist.
Villegas shot 7-over-par 42 on the back nine before pulling out. He was 11-over through 27 holes. A representative of the PGA Tour said that the injury does not seem serious enough to prevent Villegas from competing at next week's Deutsche Bank Championship.

Camilo Villegas spun a bogey-free, 9-under-par 32-31=63 in his opening round of the RBC Canadian Open.
Villegas made an example of an exposed Glen Abbey, hitting 14 GIR and taking just 24 putts to share the 18-hole lead. It also matched his career low on the PGA Tour (set thrice previously). The second round is underway but will not be completed until Saturday. The late draw begins at 4:50 p.m. local time today, with the final threesomes going off at 6:50 p.m.

Camilo Villegas clobbered Miguel Angel Jimenez 5&4 in the second round in the Jones Bracket of the WGC-Match Play.
A year after bowing out in the first round in his inaugural appearance, Villegas is proving to be the one most dialed in as he has yet to reach the 15th in the first two rounds. Today, he drained seven birdies and once again lost just one hole. He advanced to the third round where he will face Geoff Ogilvy.

Camilo Villegas handed Rod Pampling a 7&6 beatdown in the first round in the Jones Bracket of the WGC-Match Play.
Villegas won eight holes, including six straight beginning at the 6th, showing the Aussie an early exit. Villegas will face Miguel Angel Jimenez in the second round.
