 Anthony Henry-DB- LionsDec. 27 - 10:25 am et
Lions CB Anthony Henry will start in place of Phillip Buchanon on Sunday in San Francisco.
The Lions are shaking up the defense and will also likely start rookie DeAndre Levy in the middle with former No. 1 pick Ernie Sims. Levy, a third-round pick out of Wisconsin, has 65 tackles and an interception in his first season. Buchanon has been a disappointment after getting a two-year contract in March.

 Phillip Buchanon-DB - Lions Dec. 22 - 10:38 am et

Lions CB/PR Phillip Buchanon sprained his shoulder and aggravated a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
Buchanon is in danger of missing this week's game against the 49ers. Even though he has no interceptions on the season, losing Buchanon would make the Lions' secondary even worse -- if that's possible.

 Phillip Buchanon-DB - Lions Nov. 20 - 7:47 pm et

Phillip Buchanon and Will James have finally settled in as the Lions' starting cornerbacks.
It only took half a season for Detroit to find the "right" mix. They still have the NFL's No. 32 pass defense. The Lions targeted Buchanon to be their No. 1 corner in the offseason. He was benched early on and has regained his job, but hasn't picked off a pass all year. He has 25 tackles and a forced fumble.

 Phillip Buchanon-DB - Lions Oct. 19 - 10:19 am et

Lions CB Phillip Buchanon was benched in favor of DeMarcus Faggins in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
This is the second time in four weeks Buchanon has been benched. Buchanon is dealing with a hand injury, but that wasn't the reason he was among Detroit's inactives. Aaron Rodgers shredded the Lions for 358 yards and two touchdowns.

 Anthony Henry-DB - Lions Oct. 11 - 9:46 pm et

Lions LCB Anthony Henry was benched in favor of Phillip Buchanon on Sunday.
Henry started the game, but was pulled for giving up plays. The Lions have now benched both of their projected Week 1 starting corners (Buchanon also got the treatment earlier on). Henry finished with two tackles Sunday.

 Will James-DB - Lions Sep. 30 - 10:46 pm et

Will James is expected to start for the Lions at right cornerback again on Sunday, replacing Phillip Buchanon.
Buchanon has been the scapegoat for Detroit's secondary woes. The Lions are allowing quarterbacks to complete a ridiculous 75% of their throws, while getting nothing from their sub-package DBs. Expect a big day for Jay Cutler.
