Raiders assistant coaches have been telling players that the coaching staff will remain intact for 2010, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
We already know that Tom Cable is coming back, this is just further confirmation. Now we just have to wait for the Raiders to make it official, which will be done at owner Al Davis' convenience.

Ubiquitous club spokesman John Herrera said Thursday that the Raiders have still not made a final decision on Tom Cable's status.
"We are still meeting and examining everything," Herrera said. "When we are completely done, we will make a decision and let everyone know." This is preposterous. Cable is keeping his job, but the Raiders enjoy leaving everyone in the media hanging.

Tom Cable said Thursday that he and owner Al Davis have yet to discuss any sort of head coaching change this offseason.
"We did great diligence in terms of an organization, the coaches, and here we are getting ready for the 2010 season," Cable said of his recent meetings with Davis. He emphasized that he didn't think "there was ever any question" that he would remain the head coach. Sounds like ol' Al Davis just wanted to leave the media twisting in the wind for three weeks.

New offensive coordinator Hue Jackson confirmed that he will be the primary play-caller for the Raiders.
Jackson has a diversified background, having coached quarterbacks, receivers, and running backs since 2001. While Tom Cable came from a run-first mentality, we can expect Jackson bring the passing game back into the offense. Of course, the Raiders will have to upgrade at quarterback to accomplish that goal.

Raiders hired former Ravens QBs coach Hue Jackson as offensive coordinator and signed him to a three-year contract.
The Raiders didn't have anyone in the offensive coordinator role last year, so the move may be a sign of progress for pro football's most dysfunctional franchise. Tom Cable was clearly stretched last year as Oakland's playcaller, offensive line overseer, and head coach while dealing with off-field problems. Jackson is choosing the Raiders over Chicago, which doesn't say much for Bears GM Jerry Angelo's so-far fruitless offensive coordinator search.

Club spokesman John Herrera said Monday that the Raiders still have not decided the fate of head coach Tom Cable.
Al Davis continues to toy with the media while hiring assistant coaches with direct connections to Cable. It's all but certain that Cable is coming back, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported three days ago. Herrera, though, said Monday that Davis and Cable are meeting "regularly" to discuss the future, just a day after claiming the Raiders never gave any indication Cable's job was in danger. Oakland's offensive coordinator job remains vacant.
