Jason Dufner will start the week as the 10th ranked player in the FedExCup Finals at THE TOUR Championship.
You would have gotten some very long odds at the start of the season that Dufner would be among the top-10 in the FedExCup Finals. He did it by racking up five top-10s going into the Playoffs and then finishing tied for second place at the Deutsche Bank Championship. This is his first time in THE TOUR Championship.

Jason Dufner carded a final round of 6-under-par 65 and tied for second place at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Dufner started out red hot with five birdies in his first seven holes, which earned him a part of a five-way tie for the lead. On the back nine he parred every holes until the final hole, when a two-putt birdie earned him a one-stroke clubhouse lead. He was eventually tied by Scott Verplank and surpassed by Steve Stricker, when he sank a two-foot birdie-putt at the final hole. The T-2 finish is his sixth Top-10 of the season and it his career best finish on the PGA Tour. Dufner started the week in 57th place on the FedExCup Points List, but today's T-2 in the Playoffs has moved him all the way up to ninth place on the list.

Jason Dufner posted a second round of 9-under-par 63 and holds a one stroke lead at the 100th RBC Canadian Open.
Dufner started on the front nine and at the turn he was already 5-under-par at the turn. It looked like he was going to set a tournament record after going 10-under-par after a birdie at the 16th hole, but a bogey at the 17th coupled with a scrambling par at the par-5 18th hole left him one-stroke shy of the record. Play was called soon after Dufner finished, due to more rain, and tournament officials are hoping to play the final two rounds on Sunday.
