Colt Knost has carded a pair of 4-under-par 66s at the Travelers Championship and sits three strokes off Kenny Perry's clubhouse lead.
Knost has hit 30 GIR and needed just 58 putts, draining 10 birdies in his first two loops of TPC River Highlands. As crucial as it is for Knost to post a great finish in Cromwell, more important is that he's "almost 100 percent" since getting T-boned by a drunk driver in Memphis a couple of days before the U.S. Open sectional qualifier on June 8. "Banged me up pretty good," Knost said today. "Probably shouldn't have played Memphis [76-79=MC], but felt like I needed to, but then took pretty much most of the U.S. Open week off and was rehabbing, and just came out here, and feeling pretty good about things."
