Dustin Johnson carded a final round of 5-under-par 66 and finished in a tie for third place at the Northern Trust Open.
Johnson opened with a birdie at the first hole, but it was at the seventh hole where he started a run of four birdies in five holes that moved him up the leader board. He was three strokes off the lead at that point, but that is as close as he got for the rest of the round. Johnson is currently scheduled to play next week in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Dustin Johnson chipped-in a birdie at the final hole of his second round to hold a one-stroke lead over Steve Stricker at the Northern Trust Open.
Darkness suspended Friday's second round, which left Dustin Johnson with two holes left to complete his round. When play was resumed at 9 am local time, Johnson parred the 17th hole, but then chipped-in from 15-yards at the par-4 18th hole for a birdie and the lead. The weather forecast for the third round is a wet one, with showers becoming heavier as the day wears on. So far, almost 3.2 inches of rain has fallen on the course, and with the forecast of another half an inch on Saturday, the entire area is under a flash flood warning.

The second round of the Northern Trust Open has been suspended for darkness.
Dustin Johnson is one of 41 golfers that has yet to complete 36 holes. DJ is 10-under through 34 holes and shares a three-stroke lead with Steve Stricker, who played in the morning wave. Johnson had the shot of the day when he jarred an 8-iron for an ace at the 152-yard, par-3 6th hole. The cut line will drop at either 1- or 2-over-par, but there will likely be a handful of withdrawals on Saturday morning, as is usually the case for guys that already know that they won't make the cut. Rain will continue to fall overnight and throughout Saturday, but Riviera can handle it. Winds should be light for the third round, but they could get gusty on Sunday. The second round will resume on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. local time.

Dustin Johnson crafted a bogey-free, 7-under-par 32-32=64 in the opening round of the Northern Trust Open.
DJ hit 13 GIR and needed just 25 putts in his first loop of Riviera, staking the very early clubhouse lead. This is the third time in as many starts at the NTO that Johnson has excelled early. His opening 68 in 2008 and first-round 66 last year were his lowest rounds in each start. He finished T59 in '08 but bounced back with a T10 a year ago.

Dustin Johnson signed for a 6-under-par 34-33=67 after his opening round of the SBS Championship.
Winner of the weather-shortened AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am last February, Johnson is playing in his second consecutive SBS. Today's 67 matches last year's final round, which was his low for the week. His eight birdies today was tops in the 28-man field.

Dustin Johnson will play in his first TOUR Championship as the 11th ranked player in the FedExCup Finals.
Johnson won early in the year at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. It seemed like the rest of the season might be a washout after a well publicized DUI arrest in late March, but he handled the incident well and started to play good golf again in the late spring. Johnson has also played well at the Playoffs, with a T-15 at The Barclays and a T-4 at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
