Michael Letzig carded a 3-under-par 34-34=68 in his opening round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Letzig pulled out of The Barclays during his second round with a wrist injury. He hit 13 GIR and took 28 putts today, suffering just one bogey at TPC Boston. Entering the tournament ranked 84th in FedExCup points, he'll need to finish strong to advance to the BMW.

Michael Letzig withdrew during his second round of The Barclays, citing a wrist injury.
Letzig had just birdied the par-5 8th hole and was an aggregate 3-over-par through 35 when he pulled out. He withdrew from last week's Wyndham Championship but he wasn't going to make the cut after the weather delay anyway. Entering the week 69th in FedExCup points, he's likely to advance to next week's Deustche Bank Championship.

Michael Letzig withdrew on Saturday from the Wyndham Championship.
Play was suspended by darkness on Friday and Letzig had only one hole left to play, with no hope of making the cut.

Michael Letzig carded a third round of 4-under-par 68 and is a stroke off the lead at the Buick Open.
Letzig started out slowly and was at even-par for the round until the 8th hole, where he had a run of three consecutive birdies. He carded birdies at the 12th and 14 holes, then a birdie at the 16th hole gave him the outright lead. Letzig was in the fairway at the 18th, but a poor approach into the greenside bunker led to a double-bogey, which gave Tiger Woods the outright lead. He will be paired on Sunday with Tiger Woods and will have to deal with that pressure as he looks for his first career championship on the PGA Tour.

Michael Letzig chased his opening bogey-free, 5-under-par 35-32=67 with a 7-under 34-31=65 in the second round of the Buick Open, finishing with a one-stroke clubhouse lead.
Few have been as consistent as Letzig this year although he has yet to contend, with just one top-10, which came last week in Canada (T-8). The PGA Tour sophomore has hit 26 GIR and taken a mere 52 putts, draining an eagle and 11 birdies against just one bogey.

Michael Letzig was added on Monday to the field of the Memorial Tournament.
Letzig earned his second Top 25 of the season last time out, when he tied for 23rd place at the HP Byron Nelson.
