South Korea's Chang-won Han shot 12-under-par 66-69-71-70=276 at the Asian Amateur Championship, cruising to a five-stroke victory over fellow countryman and current Northwestern University Wildcat, Eric Chun.
Han entered the week ranked 272nd in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, but was fifth in his homeland. The victory secures the automatic invitation to the 2010 Masters, where he will be joined by Korea's #1-ranked amateur, Byeong-Hun An, reigning U.S. Amateur champ. Han also earned an exemption into the final stage of International Final Qualifying for the British Open. |
