Justin Leonard posted a final round of 5-under-par 67 and finished in second place after a three-way playoff at the Children's Miracle Network Classic.
On the front nine, Leonard and George McNeill were able to card 4-under-par scores, which left them on top of the leaderboard. On the back nine, a seven-foot birdie-putt at the 11th hole gave Leonard a two-stroke lead, however after that he posted seven pars in a row, which created a three-way playoff with McNeill and Stephen Ames for the championship. On the opening playoff hole Leonard found the putting surface, but from long distance. His first putt came some 15-feet short of the hole and his second putt, to continue in the playoff, also came up short. The playoff ended on the next hole, when Ames par won the championship after McNeill's par-putt to extend the match lipped-out. The P-2 finish is the sixth Top 10 for Leoanrd this season and it his best finish on the Tour since his playoff win at the 2008 Stanford St. Jude Championship.

Justin Leonard posted a third round of 1-under-par 71 and shares the lead with George McNeil, Justin Rose and Mathias Gronberg at the Children Miracle Network Classic.
Leonard opened with pair of birdies (2nd, 4th) and by the 5th hole it looked like he might run away with the title after opening up a five-stroke advantage on the field. A poor approach at the 6th hole cost him a stroke, and after pars on the next three holes, his lead had shrunk to two strokes by the turn. On the back nine, Leonard found himself in a tie for the lead after finding the water at the 11th hole and by the par-5 14th hole he was two strokes off the pace after playing partner George McNeill eagled the hole. Leonard did miss short puts at the final two holes, but he regained a share of the lead after McNeill double-bogeyed the final hole. On Sunday, Leonard will be looking for his 13th career PGA Tour title and his first since the 2008 Stanford St. Jude Championship.

Justin Leonard posted an 8-under-par 30-34=64 in the second round of the Children's Miracle Network Classic.
Leonard hit 13 GIR and needed just 24 putts, burying 11 birdies on Disney's Palm Course today. The temperature is in the low-70s, about 15 degrees warmer than the opening round. With today's effort, Leonard is 12-under through 36 holes, good for the early clubhouse lead.

Justin Leonard is 10-under-par 66-64=130 at the halfway point of the Frys.com Open.
Like many this week, Leonard is carving up Grayhawk's Raptor Course, with 12 birdies against just two bogeys. He's easily the most notable in contention through 36 holes, lurking just one back of the clubhouse co-leaders.

Justin Leonard and Mike Weir halved Match 25 on the Presidents Cup.
After the fate of the Presidents Cup was decided the Leonard vs. Weir match ended in a halve match. Leonard was never in the lead in the match and consecutive birdies starting at the 12th hole squared the match. Weir did have a 1-up lead going into the final hole, but a birdie by Leonard gave a 1/2 a point to both sides. At the time the match ended the American lead was 18 to 10 over the Internationals.

Justin Leonard followed his opening 75 with a 7-under-par 33-30=63 in the second round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
This is more like it. A day after his mind seemed to be elsewhere (and given the news about Amy Mickelson, it just might have been), Leonard buckled in, hitting 13 (of 14) fairways and 16 GIR en route to nine birdies. And he needed just 28 putts today, versus 30 on Thursday when he found a mere eight GIR. Never count out Leonard in his hometown event.
