Mike Weir is in this week's FedExCup Finals at THE TOUR Championship ranked as the 27th place player.
Weir started the season off very hot with a T-3 at the Bob Hope and a second place at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. After that he played solid golf for the rest of the season with three more tenth place finishes. His record at the East Lake G.C. is very good with a T-4 in 2004 and a T-6 last year.

Mike Weir decided to call a penalty on himself at the final hole of the second round the RBC Canadian Open.
Weir was in a major debate on Saturday if he should be assessed a penalty stroke after his ball moved as he addressed it. The issue was brought up again on Sunday morning and Weir decided to take the penalty stroke, which now leaves him five-strokes off the lead. Many fantasy games have already calculated the points for the second round, so there is a chance that your game might not reflect the scoring change.

Mike Weir carded a hole-in-one at the par-3 4th hole during his third round of the RBC Canadian Open.
The ace by Weir is the seventh so far this week at the Canadian Open, which is the most in any tournament since the Tour started keeping records in 1971. Weir's ace got him within three-stokes of the lead at the time, but currently he is four-strokes back as the third round has been delayed by due to lightning in the area.

Golf Channel reported that second round play will resume at 7:00 p.m. local time today.
The field will play until sunset for the second consecutive day, which allows for about an hour and 45 minutes of action before darkness suspends play until Saturday. The next wave of inclement weather is expected to move through mid-afternoon tomorrow. After an opening 71, Mike Weir has yet to tee off in his second round. Depending on the weather, the tour might go with a 36-hole playing cut of the number nearest 60 with the top-70 and ties earnings official prize money, FedExCup points and a pension point.

Mike Weir turned in a 6-under-par 64 in his opening round of the U.S. Open, good for a two-stroke lead.
Eleven of the 13 golfers that finished under par in their opening rounds started in the late draw today. Weir hit seven (of 14) fairways and 13 GIR en route to eight birdies. It's the lowest 18-hole score in the U.S. Open since Vijay Singh's 63 in the second round of the 2003 edition at Olympia Fields. Weir will tee off in his second round at 5:58 p.m. ET today.

Mike Weir has opened the Memorial with a pair of 69s, finishing one stroke off the clubhouse lead.
The lefty managed near-carbon-copy rounds, with six birdies, three bogeys and 26 putts in each. It's impressive considering he's hit just 21 GIR at Muirfield Village.
