Chad Campbell ripped up TPC Summerlin today for a bogey-free, 9-under-par 31-31=62 in the second round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
Campbell hit 17 GIR and required just 28 putts for the score today. It featured seven birdies and an eagle-3 at his final hole (the 9th), a 20-foot putt that secured a share of the 36-hole lead with Troy Matteson from the late-early draw. They will sleep on a one-stroke lead over Ryan Moore, Matt Kuchar, Bob Heintz and Martin Laird. Saturday's weather will be a carbon copy of today's - sunny, light winds and a high temperature in the upper-80s.
