John Rollins posted a final round of even-par 72 to win the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open by three-strokes over Martin Laird and Jeff Quinney.
Rollins started the day with a four-stroke lead and at the turn he was even-par for the round, but he retained his four-stroke lead because his main rivals were falling back into the field. On the back nine, Rollins dropped a 38-foot eagle-putt at the par-5 11th to increase his lead to six-strokes, but he then went into a tailspin and carded three bogeys in his next four holes. The lead shrank to two-strokes, but he was able to birdie the par-5 17th to stop the bleeding and to give him his final three-stroke margin of victory. The victory is his third career PGA Tour championship and his first since the 2006 B.C. Open.
