Geoff Ogilvy beat Steve Stricker by a score of 2 & 1 in Match 27 of the Presidents Cup.
The matches the Internationals led are starting to come home. Ogilvy got to an early lead at the 2nd hole and he never looked back. The lead expanded to 2-up at the 8th hole, and even though Stricker shortened the lead to a hole a couple of times, he could never square the match. The victory at the time cut the American lead down to 18 to 11.

Geoff Ogilvy and Robert Allenby won Match 19 of the Presidents Cup by a score of 2 and 1 over Stewart Cink and Lucas Glover.
This was another match the Americans were never in. The Internationals built their lead to 2-up by the fifth hole and by the turn they were 3-up. A rested Ogilvy birdied the 10th hole to move 4-up and they gave a couple of holes up on the way in, but the lead was too big for the Americans to overcome. The American loss moved captain's pick Lucas Glover to a record of 0-3 this week and it brought the International team within a point of the American team at the time.

Geoff Ogilvy will start this week at THE TOUR Championship as the 13th ranked player in the FedExCup Finals.
Ogilvy was hot at the start of the season with victories at the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, but he cooled off after that and could only manage two top-10 finishes before the FedExCup Playoffs. He started off the Playoffs with a missed cut, but he rebounded the next week with a T-7 at the Deutsche Bank Championship and he finished well back in the field at the BMW Championship. Ogilvy has played twice at THE TOUR Championship, with a T-19 finish in 2006 and a T-17 in 2007.

Geoff Ogilvy shot 13-over-par 75-78=153 and will miss the cut at the British Open.
The Aussie hit just 19 GIR and still required 61 putts in his two tours of Turnberry. He couldn't manage a single birdie over his final 27 holes. This is the third straight year that Ogilvy has failed to make the cut at the Open.

Geoff Ogilvy carded a third round of 9-under-par 63 and is two-strokes off the lead at the Memorial Tournament.
Ogilvy took advantage of the early morning conditions to put nine birdies on the card, with no blemishes. It is the low round of the tournament and it puts him in back of only four players. On Sunday, Ogilvy will be looking for his third championship of the season and the seventh career PGA Tour title.

Geoff Ogilvy carded a third round of 3-under-par 69 and is in a six-way tie for the lead at the Shell Houston Open.
A quadruple-bogey by Tommy Armour III at the 18th hole dropped him down the leaderboard and created a six-way tie for the lead going into the fourth round. The other five players that are tied with Ogilvy at 11-under-par are: Ryan Moore, Fred Couples, Colt Knost, Bo Van Pelt and Paul Casey. The rest of the field remains tightly bunched and anyone out of over 30 players could make a run for the championship in the final round.
