Kevin Na blistered Glen Abbey for a bogey-free, 9-under-par 35-28=63 in his opening round of the RBC Canadian Open to assume the early clubhouse lead.
Greatly assisted by soft conditions after a weather delay of seven and a half hours, Na found 15 GIR and took just 24 putts today, burying nine birdies including seven on his second nine (Glen Abbey's front). He came within one stroke of the course record set by Greg Norman in 1986 when it played 120 yards shorter but to a par of 72.
