After dropping the NLCS to the Phillies on Wednesday night, manager Joe Torre reiterated his intention to return as manager in 2010.
Torre has another year on his contract, but some members of the media have speculated that he could hang it up after this season. "I haven't gotten to that point, as long as I have another year on my contract, and I've had indications that they'll allow me to come back next year," said Torre. "I like to believe that the chances are we can come back here." Torre, 69, tied Bobby Cox by leading his team to the postseason for the 14th consecutive season. Source: MLB.com
