Chien-Ming Wang (shoulder surgery) is unsure whether the Yankees will tender him a contract this winter.
"Nothing’s sure," said the 29-year-old right-hander. Wang underwent shoulder surgery to a repair a torn ligament in his right shoulder capsule in July. He has traveled with the Yankees during the postseason, even participating in pre-game drills, however he hasn't begun to pitch. Wang plans to see Dr. James Andrews in November, but given the uncertainty of his rehab and the 9.64 ERA he posted in 42 innings this season, the Yankees will likely let him enter free agency.
