 Melky Cabrera-OF- YankeesNov. 2 - 8:46 am et
Melky Cabrera (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Game 5.
Cabrera suffered a mild strain of his left hamstring when running out a grounder to end the top of the sixth inning. "We’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see how he is," manager Joe Girardi said. "I doubt he can play tomorrow." Brett Gardner replaced him in Game 4, but Girardi said Jerry Hairston Jr. is also a possibility to start Game 5 if Cabrera is unable to go.

 Nick Swisher-OF - Yankees Oct. 29 - 3:57 pm et

Nick Swisher has been benched in favor of Jerry Hairston Jr. for Game 2 of the World Series.
Hairston is 10-for-27 (.370) lifetime against Phillies starter Pedro Martinez and Swisher is 11 for his last 77 (.143) with one homer dating back to the regular season. Of course, it's also worth noting that Hairston hasn't faced Pedro since 2004 and hasn't started in right field since joining the Yankees.
 Jerry Hairston-3B - Yankees Sep. 24 - 6:22 pm et

According to Tyler Kepner of the New York Times, an MRI on Jerry Hairston's wrist Thursday showed tendinitis but no serious damage.
Hairston was given a cortisone shot and will be unavailable for the next few days, possibly the entire weekend, but it sounds like he avoided a major scare. The utilityman is batting .245/.346/.397 since joining the Yanks.

 Jerry Hairston-3B - Yankees Sep. 23 - 8:56 pm et

Jerry Hairston Jr. may have sustained a serious wrist injury Wednesday.
Hairston was removed in the middle of an at-bat Wednesday after injuring his wrist during a practice swing. He said he "felt a pop" in the wrist. Hairston has been dealing with wrist pain since diving for a ball while with the Reds earlier this season. "I'm just hoping it's some scar tissue breaking up," Hairston said. An MRI is scheduled for Thursday.
