 Chris Coghlan-OF- MarlinsNov. 16 - 2:21 pm et
Chris Coghlan won the National League Rookie of the Year award.
This a mild surprise, because of the competition Coghlan had for the award. He beat out J.A. Happ, Tommy Hanson and Andrew McCutchen. Our ballot would have given preference to Happ and McCutchen. Regardless, Coghlan was excellent in his debut campaign, hitting .321/.390/.460 in 565 plate appearances with 84 runs scored, 31 doubles, and nine steals in 128 games.

 Tommy Hanson-S - Braves Oct. 1 - 10:28 pm et

Tommy Hanson allowed only one run over seven innings against the Nationals on Thursday night, but didn't figure into the decision in an eventual loss.
Hanson pitched extremely well, fanning nine while allowing only five hits and a pair of walks. Unfortunately, the Braves couldn't muster anything against Garrett Mock so Hanson was unable to notch victory No. 12. Nevertheless, he finishes at 11-4 with a 2.89 ERA and 116-to-46 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 127 2/3 innings and has a great shot at taking home the NL Rookie of the Year award.
 Tommy Hanson-S - Braves Sep. 26 - 4:05 pm et

Tommy Hanson allowed four runs over seven innings in an 11-5 win over the Nationals on Friday night.
Hanson was solid, holding the Nationals to just four hits. A three-run homer by Mike Morse in the fifth spoiled an otherwise excellent line. Hanson struck out eight and walked one as the Braves won their fifth straight game. They now trail the Rockies by three games in the Wild Card race with eight games left on the schedule. Hanson is now 11-4 with a 2.98 ERA over 20 starts. He'll get the Nationals again next week.
 Tommy Hanson-S - Braves Sep. 22 - 2:00 pm et

Tommy Hanson will make his next scheduled start on Saturday against the Nationals.
Manager Bobby Cox said last week that Hanson could be skipped as the organization monitors their young phenom's workload, but it looks like he'll be active in a favorable matchup. Hanson suffered a bit of a hiccup on Sunday, but he is certainly worthy of NL ROY consideration, posting a 10-4 record and 2.85 ERA in 19 starts.

 Tommy Hanson-S - Braves Sep. 20 - 6:46 pm et

Tommy Hanson allowed four runs in five innings against the Phillies on Sunday to take a loss and fall to 10-4.
Hanson struck out seven, but four walks (one intentional), four singles, and three doubles did him in. Outside of today Hanson hasn't slowed down late in the season in his rookie year, and the Braves have made no mention of shutting him down. He remains a fine fantasy option as a result, though it's still possible the club will skip his last start.
 Tommy Hanson-S - Braves Sep. 15 - 9:45 pm et

Tommy Hanson and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout victory over the Mets on Tuesday night.
Hanson baffled the Mets by allowing just three hits over seven innings -- no runner made it past second base in the outing. The 23-year-old phenom struck out eight and walked three, improving to 10-3 on the year. Hanson now has a 17-inning scoreless streak going. The Rookie of the Year hopeful carries a 2.65 ERA into his next start against the first-place Phillies.
