Mark Teixeira hit a walkoff solo homer in the bottom of the 11th inning Friday as the Yankees captured Game 2 of the ALDS by a score of 4-3.
The Yankees struggled to score runs on Nick Blackburn and the middle of the Twins' relief corps, but Alex Rodriguez put a game-tying charge into a ball in the bottom of the ninth inning, waking up the rest of the lineup. Teixeira then played the hero in the bottom of the 11th, driving a shot that careened off the left field fence and bounced into the stands. The Yanks lead the series 2-0.
