According to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse, the Angels have re-signed general manager Tony Reagins to a "long-term extension."
Reagins has served as the Angels' GM since October of 2007 and was the director of player development before that. He's been a very active, and very successful, general manager since taking over for Bill Stoneman. The length and financial details of the contract have not yet been revealed.

Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse reports that Bobby Abreu's two-year contract with the Angels is worth $19 million in guaranteed money.
According to Price, Abreu will make $9 million per season with a $1 million buyout or $9 million option for 2012 that can become guaranteed based on plate appearances.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange Country Register reports that the Angels have re-signed Bobby Abreu to a two-year contract with a team option for 2012.
No word yet on the money involved, but Abreu said that he's "very happy to sign this contract" after settling for a one-year, $6 million deal as a free agent last offseason.

Bobby Abreu went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in Saturday evening's ALCS Game 2 loss to the Yankees.
Abreu drew two walks, but doesn't have a hit in 11 appearances during this series. For the Angels to survive against the Yanks, he needs to get going and Vladimir Guerrero needs to show a little more discipline at the plate. The Halos are down 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.

According to SI.com's Jon Heyman, the Angels have offered Bobby Abreu an extension for two years and around $16 million, but Abreu wants more.
Abreu put together a strong season after being forced to settle for a one-year, $5 million deal last winter. Still, that seems like a pretty fair offer from Los Angeles considering the outfielder will be 36 on Opening Day next season. He hit .293/.390/.435 with 15 homers, 103 RBI and 30 stolen bases in '09.

According to Jill Painter of the Los Angeles Daily News, Bobby Abreu would like to return to the Angels next season.
"Of course I want to be back," Abreu said. "I have a good time over here. This organization, the team, the manager and the fans, too, they've treated me very well here. I think they really appreciate the job that I've been doing all year round. Of course I want to come back. I don't want to go nowhere else. I want to stay with the Angels." Signing to a bargain-basement one-year, $5 million contract with $1 million in incentives over the winter, the 35-year-old outfielder batted .293/.390/.435 with 15 homers, 103 RBI and 30 stolen bases. His value in the Angels' clubhouse has been immeasurable, but his OPS and defense have faded in recent seasons. Even with some decline, he should be worth at least a two-year deal.
