Jeremy Sowers allowed four runs over three runs in a 6-2 loss to the Red Sox on Friday night.
It took him 69 pitches just to make it through three innings. Sowers gave up four hits, including three runs on three hits in his final frame. He finishes his season at 6-11 with a 5.25 ERA over 24 games (23 starts). It's his third straight year with an ERA over 5.00, but he'll probably battle a host of arms for a spot in the rotation next season regardless.

Jeremy Sowers hurled seven shutout innings but didn't figure into the decision as the Indians lost to the Twins on Monday night.
Sowers has always had the Twins' number and that continued tonight. He now holds 2.84 lifetime ERA against Minnesota compared to a 5.26 career mark against all other opponents. Unfortunately, his 3-0 lead disappeared tonight when Cleveland's bullpen took over in the eighth.

Jeremy Sowers yielded two runs over six innings in a 5-2 win over the Twins on Friday night.
Sowers is now 4-2 with a 3.62 ERA in eight starts since the All-Star break. It sounds impressive until you realize he has a 14/18 K/BB ratio during that time. Needless to say, he shouldn't be counted on in fantasy leagues.

Jeremy Sowers hurled seven innings of two-run ball in a 6-2 win over the White Sox on Friday night.
Sowers has been great in three starts since being recalled from Triple-A Columbus on July 25, compiling a 1.80 ERA. He scattered six hits against the White Sox on Friday, walking a pair while striking out six. AL-only owners might want to take a chance on him against the Rangers next week.

Jeremy Sowers tossed seven shutout innings Saturday as the Indians trounced the Mariners 10-3 in Seattle.
Wow. Where did that come from? Sowers was demoted to Triple-A Columbus in early July after going 2-7 with a 5.77 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) with the Tribe. He looked rejuvenated Saturday, striking out two and scattering four hits. AL-only leaguers might want to take a look-see.

Indians recalled LHP Jeremy Sowers from Triple-A Columbus.
As expected, Sowers will make Saturday's start against the Mariners. He was 2-7 with a 5.77 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) with the Indians this season. Sowers will take the roster spot of the recently-traded Rafael Betancourt.
