Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Dodgers have been in contact with agent Scott Boras in regards to free agent outfielder Garret Anderson.
Anderson, who turns 38 in June, batted .268/.303/.410 with 13 home runs, 61 RBI and a 705 OPS last season. If signed, he would be the team's fourth outfielder. Rating poor with defensive metrics, this means that Jason Repko and Xavier Paul would compete to be the team's fifth outfielder and backup center fielder.

 Garret Anderson-OF - Braves Jan. 28 - 11:05 am et

Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Dodgers have interest in free agent Garret Anderson, among others, as a potential fourth outfielder.
The Dodgers figured to add a veteran outfielder to the mix and should be able to find a reasonable bargain in the coming weeks. Anderson, 37, batted .268/.303/.410 with 13 home runs, 61 RBI and a 705 OPS last season, mediocre production for a player who brings little to the table defensively. Once the Dodgers secure a fourth outfielder, Jason Repko and Xavier Paul are expected to battle it out for one spot.

 Mike Gonzalez-R - Orioles Dec. 1 - 5:41 pm et

The Braves offered arbitration to LHP Mike Gonzalez and RHP Rafael Soriano, but not 1B Adam LaRoche and OF Garret Anderson.
Gonzalez and Soriano are both Type A free agents, while LaRoche and Anderson are Type B's. Gonzalez was a no-brainer, as he is expected to field multi-year offers this winter. Likewise, Soriano is one of the top three closers available. The Braves are dealing from a strength and probably wouldn't mind if either accepts. At worst, they'll get a nice lot of compensatory picks when he signs elsewhere. It's a bit surprising the Braves didn't offer LaRoche arbitration though, as he batted .278/.357/.487 in 2009, including .325/.401/.557 in 57 games after returning to Atlanta.

 Garret Anderson-OF - Braves Sep. 6 - 5:57 pm et

Garret Anderson went 0-for-5 on Sunday to finish the series against the Reds 1-for-12 with three strikeouts.
That month of July was nice, but Anderson has been a terrible liability of late. Since the beginning if August, he's hit .244 with six extra-base hits and five walks in 119 at-bats. Driving in runs was always his forte, but he has just 51 RBI in 402 at-bats this year, and he's certainly not making up for it with his defense or on-base skills. The Braves never should have signed him in the first place.
 Garret Anderson-OF - Braves Aug. 29 - 11:20 pm et

Garrett Anderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI as the Braves topped the Phillies 9-1 on Saturday night.
Anderson and the rest of the Braves starters somehow figured out the Phillies' Cliff Lee. Four home runs were blasted, 14 total hits were tallied, and the Braves escaped with a huge win over a division rival. Anderson is batting .292 this season with 12 home runs and 50 RBI.

Garret Anderson is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.
Anderson missed the last three contests with a lower back strain.
