Jeff Suppan allowed two unearned runs over 5 1/3 innings against the Giants on Friday night, suffering a no-decision in an eventual 3-2 loss.
He actually had a no-hitter going until a Travis Ishikawa single dropped in front of center fielder Mike Cameron in the fifth inning, but Suppan wasn't exactly spotless before that, walking two and hitting a batting over the first two innings. Cameron came back to bite him again in the sixth inning, dropping what would have been the third out to score the first of two runs, effectively ending Suppan's night. Suppan has a 2.81 ERA over three starts since returning from the disabled list in August, but a 5/12 K/BB ratio in 16 innings is enough to tell you that nothing has changed.
