Craig Counsell has attracted interest from 12 teams, reports Buster Olney of ESPN.com.
Olney thinks it is possible he will leave Milwaukee for a multi-year deal. Counsell, who turns 40 next August, batted .285/.357/.408 with four homers, 31 RBI and 61 runs scored in 2009 while shouldering his biggest workload since the 2005 season. Olney writes that he could be a possible fit with the Yankees or Red Sox.

 Craig Counsell-2B - Brewers Oct. 13 - 3:07 pm et

Craig Counsell underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on Tuesday.
The procedure was deemed "routine" by the team and he is expected to be ready in time for spring training. An impending free-agent, Counsell performed well in his heaviest workload since 2005, batting .285/.357/.408 with four homers, 31 RBI and 61 runs scored. The 39-year-old shouldn't have any trouble finding a taker during the offseason.

 Craig Counsell-2B - Brewers Oct. 5 - 7:36 pm et

Craig Counsell is scheduled to undergo an arthroscopic procedure this week to clean out a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Counsell performed well in limited opportunities this season and will garner a bit of attention on the free agent market this winter. The recovery time for his procedure shouldn't last more than two months. Then again, it's hard to predict how a 39-year-old will recover from any sort of ailment.

 Mike Cameron-OF - Brewers Aug. 28 - 10:54 am et

According to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com, Mike Cameron, Craig Counsell, Braden Looper and Jason Kendall have cleared waivers.
As Morosi notes, "Kendall, Counsell and Cameron are scheduled to become free agents after this season, which enhances their trade value." All four are now eligible to be traded to any team, but keep in mind that the deadline for such a transaction is August 31.

 Felipe Lopez-2B - Brewers Aug. 26 - 4:51 pm et

Felipe Lopez (foot) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday.
He met with team doctors Wednesday after injuring the arch of his right foot on Tuesday night, but results of that visit aren't yet available. Jody Gerut takes over Lopez's leadoff spot, with Craig Counsell getting the start at second base, hitting second.
