Several baseball executives told Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com that they expect free agent outfielder Jermaine Dye to sign with an American League team.
It doesn't appear that any specific team is the front-runner at this time, but Morosi names the Blue Jays, Royals, Indians and Tigers as possibilities. It's likely that wherever he ends up, he'll find his at-bats as an outfielder, designated hitter and possibly as a first baseman. Morosi believes that Dye might have to take a backseat to Johnny Damon for teams with available funds. Source: FOXSports.com
