Recently waived pitcher Glendon Rusch has elected to stay home rather than report to Triple-A Colorado Springs, but says he is not yet retiring.
"I don’t want to go there and go through that again. Especially if they start calling up younger guys as the season goes on," Rusch told The Denver Post. "I would rather stay home with my family." The Rockies are expected to put him on the restricted list rather than grant free agency.

Rockies waived LHP Glendon Rusch.
Rusch had a 6.75 ERA and 2.04 WHIP in 18 2/3 innings with the Rox. The 12 hits and six earned runs he allowed in 2 2/3 innings provided the final dagger. Randy Flores is expected to replace him.

Relief pitcher Glendon Rush is on his way to the minors, according to the Denver Post.
A few players told the Post that the team had parted ways with the reliever. While nothing official has been released from the team, we wouldn't be surprised as he has a 6.75 ERA and a 2.04 WHIP through 18 2/3 innings. The 12 hits and six runs he surrendered in 2 2/3 innings Wednesday certainly didn't help.

Franklin Morales was pulled before throwing a pitch in the third inning Tuesday after feeling pain in his left shoulder.
Morales was replaced on the mound by Glendon Rusch. He had allowed two runs to the Diamondbacks before he was pulled. We'll keep you updated.

 Glendon Rusch-R - Rockies Apr. 5 - 5:53 pm et

Rockies purchased the contract of LHP Glendon Rusch.
Rusch retained his spot by throwing 10 2/3 scoreless innings this spring. He'll pitch out of the pen, but he'll also be an option for the rotation if injuries strike.
 Glendon Rusch-R - Rockies Mar. 22 - 7:36 pm et

Glendon Rusch recorded a save with a scoreless ninth in the Rockies' 4-3 win over the Indians on Sunday.
Rusch was reported yo be a rotation candidate at the beginning of the spring, but he's been used exclusively as a reliever and that doesn't seem likely to change. He's up to 7 1/3 scoreless innings, so he probably will have a spot in the pen.
