 Akinori Iwamura-2B- PiratesOct. 26 - 8:53 am et
According to Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker, Akinori Iwamura could be a possibility for the Dodgers.
Newman cites a Sanspo.com report that says the Rays would likely pick up his $4.85 million option for 2010, then move him to Los Angeles, or another team, in a potential sign-and-trade. Though the contract is a bit of gamble, the Dodgers will have a void to fill at second base with Ronnie Belliard and Orlando Hudson about to hit the open market. Iwamura has a .281/.354/.393 over three seasons in the majors. He was limited to just 69 games in 2009 after tearing his ACL in May.

 Ronnie Belliard-2B - Dodgers Oct. 18 - 4:58 pm et

The Dodgers have moved Ronnie Belliard from seventh to second in the lineup for Sunday's game.
Andre Ethier, Manny Ramirez and Matt Kemp have each been moved down one spot to make room for Belliard, who has gone 3-for-8 through two games of the NLCS. The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1.

Manager Joe Torre said Ronnie Belliard will start over Orlando Hudson for Game 1 of the NLDS against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
"Offensively he's fresher," said Torre. Belliard is working through a groin injury, but he has been revitalized since coming over from the Nationals, batting .351/.398/.636 with five homers and 17 RBI in 77 at-bats. He gives the Dodgers the best chance to win at the moment.

 Ronnie Belliard-2B - Dodgers Sep. 28 - 10:13 am et

Ronnie Belliard suffered a slight strain of his left groin Sunday.
Belliard injured himself while rounding first base in the ninth inning. He told reporters afterward that it shouldn't cost him more than a game or two. "I blew out my right side before," he said. "I didn't blow this one." In 23 games since joining the Dodgers, he has five homers, seven doubles, 16 RBI and is batting .342/.390/.632.

 Ronnie Belliard-2B - Dodgers Sep. 26 - 10:33 pm et

Ronnie Belliard went 3-for-5 with a solo homer Saturday night as the Dodgers topped the Pirates 8-4 in Pittsburgh.
Belliard started at third base in place of the injured Casey Blake and stayed hot at the plate. He's been fantastic since arriving in the Dodgers clubhouse and should continue to see time at the plate. The Dodgers' magic number to clinch the NL West now rests at 3
 Orlando Hudson-2B - Dodgers Sep. 24 - 2:02 am et

Orlando Hudson is day-to-day after leaving Wednesday's game against the Nationals with an injury to his left wrist.
Hudson jammed his surgically-repaired left wrist when he tripped over the leg of Adam Dunn while running to first base. At least he seems to be in good spirits about it, saying "He's not used to playing first base. Instead of putting his foot, he decided to put his whole leg on the bag, man. Unbelievable. He came over to apologize. I said, 'Dunn, how are you going to put your whole leg, your big donkey leg, on the top of the bag?" There's no rush with Ronnie Belliard hitting so well, so consider Hudson day-to-day.
